American Girl Beanie

I found a hat I made for a doll years ago, but forgot about! My mom decided it would be perfect for an American Girl doll, so we gave it to this little girl I babysit since she just bought a second American Girl doll. She loves it... and requested a second hat in purple. Of course I had no idea how I made the first hat, so I decided to wing it and write down the pattern so I never have to go through this again.



I used a H hook and worsted weight yarn.

1. 6 dc into magic circle
2. ch 2 then slip stitch to join
3. ch2 , 2 dc in each stitch, 3 dc in ch2 spot of the previous round (the last bit), ch1, slip to join
4. ch2 *2dc, 1dc repeat from * around - slip to join
5. ch2, *2dc, dc 1 in next 2 stitches repeat from * around - slip to join
6. ch2 *2 dc, 1 dc in next 3 stitches repeat from * around - slip to join
7. ch2 *2dc, 1 dc in next 4 stitches repeat from * around - slip to join
8. ch2, dc around, slip to join
9. ch2, dc around, slip to join
10. tie off and enjoy!

Bee or Bird Wings!

I needed these wings for Lion Brands stacking ring game for the bumblebee. They have a bit of a ruffle and twist to them. so they have movement! I used worsted weight, but Im sure any yarn could be adapted to work.



I used an H hook and an E hook, but any 2 hook sizes that are very different will work.

Using the H hook
1. ch 6
2. Sc in 2nd stitch from hook to end (5 total for this side)
3. sc 3 extra into last stitch (8 total)
4. continue to other size (like a circle) and sc 4
5. sc 1 extra into the last stitch
6. 3 sc on the next side
7. 2 sc in each of the next 6 stitches
8. 3 slip stitche
9. 2 slip stitches in next (1) stitch
10. 4 slip stitches
11. 2 sc in each of the next 10 stitches
12. 1 sc
13. change to E (or smaller of the two) hook - 9 sc
14. slip stitch
tie off and weave in ends!

Fingerless gloves with a bow!

I made these gloves a few weeks ago for myself and now all my friends are requesting them! I used Red Heart Eco-ways yarn in Peacock, but any worsted weight will work! I used an H hook, but gauge isnt entirly important for this pattern.

1: Ch 32 (or the amount to go semiloosely around right above your knuckles)
2: Ch 1, hdc around, join
3: ch1, hdc around, decrease to join (skip the last stitch and join)
4,5,6,7: hdc around, join
8: Ch enough to go loosely around your thumb (mine is 11), join back in next avalible stitch with hdc, continue to hdc around (Note! Now you will be working in the round, or not joined, just continuing on a loop)
9: hdc around so there is now 1 hdc line on the thumb part
10: hdc around, 1 decrease at "corner" before thumb part and 1 decrease at corner after thumb part (opional decrease in between on the thumb)
11: repeat 10
12: repeat 10
13: repeat 10
14: repeat 10 (the corners will be getting harder to identify, just estimate)
15: hdc around, decrease 1 in the middle of the thumb part
16: repeat 15
17: repeat 15
18-?: continue to hdc around until you reach the length you want
